Rear fog lights

If I don't order the rear fog lights will there be an empty toggle switch like on the R53?

No, I dont think so, as long as you order the front lights you are ok. They are controlled by the same switch, A mesh grille is used in the rear spot if you dont order the rear fog light, looks OK in my opinion.! I had the same concern. If I am wrong, someone please some correct.( are they switched seperately) ???

Not the same switch.
Front fog second from the left, rear second from the right.
See pic.

The R56 manual is uploaded on MINI2. Do a search. You will find it.

That's one reason why I ordered just about every [expletive deleted] option I could find.

What's that blank black button there on the left? If I end up with blank buttons, I'm going to have to stencil something on there...

Get your stencils ready because there's more buttons...and places for the same...on R56 than there are options to fill them right now. Case in point, down by the shifter there's Sport Mode, DCS and....there in the middle....a blank. Haven't heard clue one what is supposed to go there. There's a few up on the upper toggle bank that I'm unclear about, too.

Bottom line...filling all those toggles could get expensive!!!

I fretted over the blank in my R50 toggles (no DSC) but once I started motoring I forgot all about it. Now I even like it...it's like the car is specifically designed for me as the driver.

Upper Toggle Bank was: left map light, dome light, sunroof, "mood" lighting, right map light.

Lower bank: don't recall. I know there are 5, 1 for each side window, but I don't recall the 3 others. The seat heaters are the buttons on the outside edge of the lower set of toggles, the silver plastic that looks like finishing material, but they are actually buttons with 3 heat settings for the front seats.

Heated windshield, like the blank button in the 1st gen manual controls for heat/air. If it's like the 1st gen, the option is not available in the US (maybe in Canada).

I think I'll get the rear fog lights just to fill the switch. We don't get much fog in Denver.
