I just got a test-drive invitation email from Hassel MINI. In it was this passge:

2007 MINI Cooper:
1.6L 4 CYL
115 HP
Automatic EPA Mileage: 26 City/33 Hwy
Manual EPA Mileage: 27 City/ 35 Hwy

2007 MINI Cooper S:
1.6L 4 CYL
168 HP
Manual EPA Mileage: 25 City/ 32 Hwy

The hp figures are identical to the R50/53, and the mpgs are the same or lower. Is this what it is, or could it be a misprint, or maybe just lazyness on the dealer's part to get the actual improved numbers everyone has been talking about?

Maybe a recycled R53 email -- they just changed the year? Were there pics?

 

It's clearly a lazy dealer, as if that should surprise anyone.

 

look at the HP figures.. do those sound correct? ( they do for the 06 - not the 07)

The 07 is supposed to get about 15-20% better gas mileage than the 02-06

 

Look on the bright side:

They got the basic displacement right... and the dealer name... and, well... nothing else, apparently.

 

Probably misprint...

Just went to see the new Mini at the dealerships...
The S gets 29/36 MPGs..

Got picture to prove it too..
