I've ordered a Mellow Yellow Cooper with a black roof and mirrors. The Brits seem to prefer the white roof, however.

Here's a photo of the white roof model from Mini2:

ScottieCoop on Mini2 has a yellow/yellow with an aero kit that is just stunning.

I've ordered the YM/B S. I just felt the black was more aggresive looking and blended into the window line.
The Liquid Y/W combo was a very nice combo on the previous model (R53) although the current yellow is deeper which actually should be nicer in my opinion.

The only disadvantage to Mellow Yellow is it's ability to look like mac & cheese orange in certain lighting. Unless of course, that's the look you prefer.

Just photos. So it's very likely that my statement is completely inacurate

I just saw it in person at the Houston Auto Show. Personally, I didn't care for it that much, which is a shame. I was really looking forward to this colour. It looks like a French's Mustard/Dark school bus yellow.

You can see my pictures here.

Well I guess I'm gonna find out in 3 weeks or so. Hope I like it.
I could always put some sort of school bus graphic on the roof.

I thought it was an ok color at the Houston show today. Deeper yellow than before. IMO. But I'm still Chili Red.

GB- I like the pics. I see you did one of the glove box, but did you press on the dash above the glove box and release button to reveal the extra compartment? It was not marked, but is where I imagine the CD changer would go. Nice extra hidden space I discovered.

Is there a current yellow out on the market that closely resembles Mellow Yellow? I was hoping that it might look like the Lightning Yellow on the mazda rx-8's, or Dakar Yellow on the e36 m3's. Those are the best yellow's i've seen on a car in a long time.

Sounds like my old 1972 Fiat Wagon. It was like a taxicab yellow with black racing stripes and a chrome roof rack. I love that deeper, more mustardy yellow. It's very sporty!

Great I can add a taxi cab graphic on top! Maybe I can get some fares and help pay for it!
Seriously, it sounds like the type of saturated yellow I wanted. I've always liked the Yellow JEEP has and it sounds like it's closer to that than the RX8 yellow which I think is less deep and more lemony.

I've ordered my S in Yellow with white top and mirrors. I like yellow for cars like the Mini. It also makes the car a bit easier to see, a good thing in a land where giant SUVs and huge trucks crash their way through other road users.

I've never had to wait more than a few days for a new car, and I don't like waiting; I want to drive, not wait.

impatiently,

Joe

sort of on the topic, in 1978 Chevolet used to offer "Wheatland Yellow" on the Z28. This mellow yellow reminds me of that color. I'd order it with white on top.
