Dark Grey Color Line

Does Dark Grey Color Line contrast with the MCS stock interior's dash and door panels? It appears lighter in MINIUSA's Configuator but I cannot assess by how much. Does anyone have any photos?

I am putting togther an order for a 2007 MCS.

Thanks. Luvyellow.

I'm like you...checking out the new color lines, but I have to see it in person before I make my descision. I think you'll have to wait...even photos may not do it justice. The first real presence here in the US will be at the Detroit Auto show in January '07 (tomorrow). I'll be checking them out in February at the Chicago Auto Show.

Thanks, Kayaktom. I agree and will go to Detroit. I may order by the Chicago show (where I also live). I've done more hand wringing over the interior than anything else.

Did you figure out the differences between the standard color line and the dark gray color line upgrade? I'm looking at getting the brushed alloy and anthracite headliner, but I'm left with the same questions that started this thread.

Any help (or pics!) would be appreciated. =)

I'm not sure what the standard colour line is, we got the dark grey line in both Tristan and Shawn to basically remove a colour line we didn't want. (Red/Blue comes with the Red/Blue leather trimmed seats.) I can't remember if that's "fine white" or "fluid" silver to go with it.

Is that the fluid silver finish as well? If so, nice. I also got fluid silver and dark grey colorline

So you paid the $250 to change from the red and the blue back to dark grey, yes?
If so, then I'm confused because it looks like the same trim as this guy, who I believe has the default option.

I would've thought there was some difference you get for $250.
(what confuses me even more is that the build-your-own tool at miniusa.com shows the upgraded "dark grey" as being a lighter shade than the standard.)

No. The seats come with a colourline, red or blue by default. You can swap it for a different colour at no cost.

Btwyx:

Thanks for posting the pics with the fluid silver trim. I had not seen it, though I ordered it on my PS/PS MC (week 32 production). I think my interior will look exactly like yours, except that I have the standard leatherette sport seats that will be light grey where yours are red. Very nice to see this.
