R56 Potential N18 HPFP problem
I think I'm just going to have it towed to a shop I've worked with before and see what they can do. I'm not very optimistic they can get much further than me, but it's a last-ditch effort at this point. I don't have any more energy to put into this car right now
I got my car back and it's running great now. I'll provide some notes from the shop I work with for those of you who are interested.
"Checked for power at the fuel pump and found its at 8v which is correct beings it's a pwm pump it does not receive full 12v until the dme asks for it.
Verified vehicle is getting fuel rail pressure.
Checked for spark and no spark present.
Bypassed relay r6 in fuse box and vehicle fires up and runs indicating we have a relay trigger issue from the JBE.
Removed JBE and opened it up.
No issues seen between ground trigger wire for pin3 at x11002.
Tested wire from relay r6 to engine bay fuse box wire is good.
Found JBE is not grounding at pin 3. no ground signal to close relay r6.
Suspect jbe is faulty and recommend replacement with a new JBE unit."
