Fun Fuel Issues! - HELP Needed!
Hi all,
2013 R56 S that now is a no start..
Was driving last week and went to pass someone. As i got into boost, the car cutout, Low power mode came on and a CEL. pulled the code P142E code "Cylinder Injection Cutoff, Pressure Too low In High-Pressure System Bank 1".
Pulled into where I needed to go down the road. Cleared the code. Went to drive it again, it started but I tried getting into boost and start to buck. Drove slowly on my way home and as I was coming off of a light the car dies. Will not start back up.
Codes pulled: P0087 - Fuel Rail System Pressure too Low Bank 1and P10FB - Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Pressure Low Before Engine Start (Bank 1)
I replaced the HPFP 8,000 Miles ago, as of 2 weeks ago replaced both the LPFP and Fuel Filter. I just re-replaced both of fuel pumps again as well thinking maybe one was bad, no go.
I just pulled of the HPFP Drive assembly and it looks slightly worn one side is flatter than the other but nothing that i believe wouldn't cause it to at least build some pressure.
I also cut the JBE open a few months ago to replace the fuel pump relay.
Dealer had the car for a few days, they said the car will build low pressure fine its high pressure that is the issue.
Any guidance here would be greatly appreciated!

If you haven't checked the fuel pressure sensor, might give that a shot...

Thanks @Maybe, maybe not . I am awaiting a new fuel rail pressure sensor tomorrow. Out of curiosity, lets says that was bad. Would that cause a no start condition or would it still allow the vehicle to start in limp mode?
Alright SO. Tonight i replaced the HPFP Drive along with a donor JBE. Still nothing. It appears the new LPFP i put in has a burned "red" wire on the motor. I put the old one back on the motor kicked on but i still cant build pressure. I am wondering if maybe the fuel filter seals blew out. Going to check things tomorrow and get back.
Another update. Went to put another new fuel rail sensor on the older connector slid right off. Apparently it was seated correctly and was a bear to get reseated on the new one but i got it on. Awaiting a new fuel filter assembly that comes in tomorrow and a new LPFP. Fingers crossed.

Generally, a bad fuel pressure sensor would not cause a no-start condition and more commonly would cause a hard start problem or limp mode.
Fuel filter housing and new LPFP came today. Got it re-assembled and it's RUNNING! It appears one of my MAF sensor wires is broken so once I get that fixed up I should be good to go. Thanks for all the help
