Torque specs

2011 mcs, I want to confirm the torque spec for the oil filter housing to the block and the oil cooler to the oil filter housing. I was told 10nm for both does this seem right ? I’ve seen different answers on the internet and I’m not sure what is right as I don’t have a Bentley manual. Any input would be great, thanks.

I wonder where BimmerFest gets the value of 22Nm for the housing. (Edit: just saw that N52 is stated in the BimmerFest screenshot. That is a different engine.)

I also wonder what "Oil filter housing to housing" refers to in the printed manual. If it is the Bentley manual, it wouldn't be the first case where torque values listed in it are different from those specified by BMW/MINI.

Here is BMW's own specification taken out of TIS. There is no value for the cooler (is the cooler available separately from BMW at all? If not, it would explain why they don't specify a torque value for it):

Good morning......the screen shot was found on line.....The picture 🖼️🖼️
I took was from my mini cooper Bentley service manual listed on page #119... Also to answer your question ⁉️⁉️ about wether you can purchase the units......the oil cooler housing can be purchased separately.......
The complete assembly can also be bought called the filter assembly........
both the screen shot and the picture was taken as torque specs for whomever........ everyone is going to have that problem with the leak's.....

There is no need to "torque" the oil filter housing cap when reinstalling the oil filter. The O-ring is what completes the seal. Make sure the O-ring is in the correct location then slowly tighten the cap until the cap seats against the housing. You are done.
