needs tuning new pls help

make long story short i bought 2008 90k miles for $2k with $5k work done with the engine new timing chain , valves etc.. .
changed suspension , rims , eBay downpipes and intercooler with straight pipe everything working well just need a tune .
I was you quoted $750 i think its way too much just to get the burble pop tune. I'm not trying to go fast but it improves anything that be awesome .
I dont have problems sending the ECU just want the burble pop tune for giggles
Thanks

Whether the tuner is just making the car pop and burble, or actually making the car go faster, the labor is the same. $750 is basically the going rate for any decent tune these days. If you can't put that kind of scratch together for a tune, don't even bother tuning it because you risk doing more harm to the engine than good.

Altering bop and burble on a 2009 requires adjusting 8 maps and takes about 10 minutes. It's the other 100+ changes for a full tune that takes the time.

So how much is your 10 minute pop and burble tune?

We don't offer just a bop and burble tune. Can't think of anyone that does but our Stage 1 includes pop and burble at $499 for a mail in ecu. Doing it remotely with our handheld cost another $250 so your back up to that $750 number. With the handheld though you get three different performance level tunes and the ability to flash back to stock. NAM members may also use the discount code nam50 at check out to save $50.00 on their purchase.

you should be looking more into a stage 2. The mods that you have will support it, will need to get a step colder spark plug. if im not mistaken you would see boost pressure of 20 lbs on a stage 2, and your pop and bangs will be there as well.

What he said. I am assuming you went with a cat-less down pipe? Stage 2 will get rid of the O2 sensor code from running cat-less. Other than that, not much difference between stage 1 and stage 2.

I would go with Lou @ PrototypeR. He knows his stuff.

Boost level set to 1.3 Bar (18.8 psi), fueling optimized, timing optimized for fuel choice, throttle response optimized, coolant temp lowered to 90°C, readiness+ (in case you add high flow or catless DP later).
Stage 2 includes the above and further optimizes timing & fueling, boost increased to 1.4 Bar, 1.45 Bar or 1.5 Bar ( 20 to 21.7 psi) based on customer preference and cold start delete.
Options include idle speed changes, specific optimizations from race fuel, meth injection, linear throttle, sensor upgrades, etc.
