Carista App Lighting Options?

Anybody know if I can code the foglight low voltage check to off using the Carista app in a 2013 R56? Thanks!

I just started using Carista on my 2011. I have the fogs set as DRL I had to set the fog volts to 12.7 or something like that. But I did see a spot where you could change the voltage of the fogs for normal use

Interesting. I ended up ordering these to fix my issue:

https://www.diodedynamics.com/canbus...onnectors.html

After speaking with ECS about the Carista app features (or lack thereof), I decided the modules were my best option. I'll update the thread when the module arrives!

I don't think the Carista app has that deep of functionality, and I think you went with the best route - canbus lights (from what I've seen) aren't more expensive than standard bulbs. Check out superbrightleds.com in the future to compare what else you can find. I got my canbus marker LEDs there and they work great. There's a weird flicker to them when they first turn on (lasts about 5 secs) and then they're good and work perfect after that, but they cost me like $5 or something. The non-canbus equivalent that I got at pep-boys was $15/bulb and threw a light error.

Either way, good luck!

That initial flicker is what I am trying to eliminate. That's a BMW/Mini feature that checks that all bulbs are working on startup by sending a low voltage signal to all lights to check the resistances. I'm hoping the canbus resistors eliminate this issue for me.

I did checkout superbrightled.com's canbus module, but there were reports of them burning up, hence why I went with diode dynamics. I'll report back when they arrive.

I see, sorry I didn't realize that's what the low voltage check was. Does it damage the bulbs by running the check or is it just an annoyance? I don't have any codes that are thrown by mine, but also please do report back with the diode dynamics - I'll be upgrading more of my lights as time goes on and I love options!

I'm going to check mine today. I was just changing a few little things on my 2014 Jetta with Carista. Will try on Mini later.

Fixed the flicker of MINI LED driving lights instled with Carly. Turned off bulb checking for those (and I think fog too might have had to do both together)

Thanks for letting me know that’s an option in Carly. Everyone else said it wasn’t. My diode dynamics canbus module worked perfectly, so my issue is fixed. No flickering for this GP2
