R56 Shifter Mod
Shifter Mod
1st Mini - Are there any type of shifter mods other than Craven Speed? Like bushing replacement, home fixes, etc.
With the SRT Neons we had "bugger bushings" and they made a big difference in solid feel/throw for under $20.00

There are less expensive short shifters such as the Helix https://www.cravenspeed.com/helix-sh...-kit-for-mini/ if that's what you're looking for.
Yes, what would you like to know? I have one installed in my car. My impressions are that the shifting feeling is more precise, less vague, shortens the throw, there is a 10% and 40% setting. I use the 40%, the 10% is like no difference at all.

Coolerworx in my R53, available for the 56 too, just needs the spring they supply disconnecting really. Most don't but most aren't mechanics thinking about the simple fact the Mini already has the spring inside the gearbox and this if connected makes the gate twice as stiff to get across, especially reverse. Not a cheap thing even if a rip off of the CAE but it does work, the frame is 1mm thinner, and some bits need looking at like adding threadlock to stop things loosening. OK overall.
