I guess this is purely subjective , but what premium would you say a CPO is worth over used ?

Example : 2013 MC S 21,500 miles. CPO VS USED

 

How much would they sell you an real MINI extended warranty for on a non-CPO car?

 

They are both essentially the same thing but a CPO is a previously leased car. It's really the only difference. And warranties vary in price depending on what your looking for, such as what you want covered and the amount of miles you want covered to. Most warranties add about $4k or so. And not sure if the warranty would be mini specific but any warranty should cover any car part replacement regardless of make or model.

 

What does CPO mean? I googled it and it could mean a lot of things. Try and be clear by avoiding acronyms when asking a question.

I think that for a MINI a CPO is worth the premium over a regular used car. The cost and frequency of repairs will make the piece of mind worth it. Now on a Honda or Toyota, I would buy used over CPO any day to save over the mark-up price.

 

Nice thing about the CPO warranty is it is honored at any MINI dealer and they'll have a record of it when they pull up the VIN of the car.

 

My CPO within the first year covered failed

Water pump
Spark plugs
Plug wires

Those 3 things probably close to a $3k job at the dealer?

Bought it with 33k mi. Now has 53k mi.

Coverage is the 575 plan
