R56 Will not shift out of D, R56, 2008 S turbo

Will not shift out of D, R56, 2008 S turbo
new trans.. will not shift our of D1. checked code P0974 Shift A solenoid too high. Cannot find that A solenoid??
goes in D.. will not up shift in Auto or Manual in DS. stuck in D1.
new trans.. only 40k on it.. goes to 5000RPM.. but still not shift
new motor, it runs great. up to 5k
the Yellow Gear light was on.. we checked code P0974 still after erasing it 5 times , it comes back. we have checked the lingage, the 2 big connectors..
OH, when i start it.. and go to Reverse. It JUMPS into R.. actually acts like i have the gas on full and jumps into gear. then N.. the D.. seems like it has a lot of pressure in it when i come out of PARK. .into R..
BUt bottom line, P0974 says Shift A solenoid is high. does that mean too much PRESSURE. or what?
