Electrical Coding at European Auto Source
Hey everybody!
I live in Southern California and ever since I got my R56, I've taken it to European Auto Source in Anaheim for just about every install and all repairs and maintenance since I've been out of warranty. It's predominantly a BMW performance shop, but they've installed two different sets of coilovers, a downpipe, some cosmetic pieces, etcetera for me. The list goes on and I literally can't sing their praises enough.
Last week, I finally got around to having the car coded by Tom, the owner of the shop and all around coding wizard, well known in the BMW community. In the few hours I was there, he coded numerous new M3s, M4s, an M5, and even an i3!
The list of upgrades I got was:
Double hazard blinks
Nav disclaimer delete
Door chime delete
Seatbelt chime delete
Unlock doors with key removal (no more double handle pull)
Windows/sunroof up with fob
One touch sunroof open and close
Speed overestimation correction on digital speedo
Windows up one touch with door open
Seat airbag fault removal (for my racing seats on order, to be installed by EAS as well!)
Bulb check (no more annoying license plate light fault with LED bulbs)
Overall, the pricing was fair and I was out of there quickly. It definitely beats waiting around for one of the mobile coding experts to be in your area, or commuting to get it done if you're local.
Give them a shot and if you do, tell Tom I referred you on the forums!
