H rxmanek!

Here is the filter you will need:

Here is a complete kit:

And fluid, with fill amounts and torque specs:

The change interval is about 100,000 miles. Do you have a Bentley Manual or another publisher's? Bentley gives a pretty detailed explanation. Please let us know if we can help!

I have all the parts I need, I was just wanting to know if any one has tackled this project and if they had pics/ideas while doing it.

The only real problem you will encounter is being able to remove the trans oil pan... I could never find a way to access all the bolts. Some lower the subframe but I wish there were another solution.

You can drill a hole large enough to stick a torx bit screwdriver through. Just aim well so you don't need to shift the engine left or right too much to align the hole dead center with the torx screw.

Remove the three bolts on the driver's side for the trans mount. Then jack the engine up. That will give you room to access the bolt. I changed my bolt from torx to a regular hex bolt. That allows me better access with a 10 mm swivel.

Toughest part is the pan bolts. Read the threads on how to set the fluid level and decide if you want to gravity feed through the top or use the bottom hole. Also make sure you have a spare crush washer, mine leaked the first time. Be confident that you understand how to set the level with the stand pipe, also.

Interval should be more like 50,000 milestone, not sure mine would have made 100k.

Have fun,
Mike

How long did it take you to do this method? How hard was it putting the bolts back into the trans mount?
Thanks for the help

T30 Torx Bit Bolt Fix

Get a T30 Torx Bit. Drimmel cut it as close to the socket possible. Fits perfectly in 1/4" wrench. Tape it to the wrench and it fits

between the subframe and bolt head easily.

After reading several sets of instructions as to how to change the auto trans fluid, I gave up. Took it to Crown Mini in Richmond, VA --$280, about 90 minutes.

They quoted $380 over the phone -- I spent $XXXXXXXXXXXXX on timing chain replacement two weeks earlier, so, they may have given me a price break.
