I made it a press fit and I was planning on using silicone and a hose clamp as well.

I'm thinking out loud now but 3 small screws would probably work as well?

I like what you have done there. I'd be wanting to make sure it was held on well. It is a better looking solution than our lump of metal we stuck in the original hose about 4" long.

Good stuff. :-)

Heck, for a few cents you could use a few zip ties to secure it. Let me know how it works for you. If successful, would you be willing to make me one?
