checking amount of ATF fluid question
checking amount of ATF fluid question
I changed it 3 times according to this thread https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ion-fluid.html
per the pdf.
In the instructions to check for the correct amount in step 4 it says, Take the drain bolt off ONLY. Do NOT take the stand pipe out. If tranny fluid drains, let it drain until it stops and proceed to next step.
My question is: about how much drain until it stops? I know it depends on the amount in it but are we talking quarts or a couple of oz?

We will reinstall the drain plug when fluid begins to form a small drain trail, as for your situation, it all depends on how much you put in, what temperature the transmission was at (because this does make a difference), grade level/hoist level.
