New timing new code 287d

Hey guys new to the forum.
Got a 2010 r56 60,000 miles
The car over heated and I had to shave the head.
I went ahead and installed a new timing chain while it was apart.
The car runs fine but getting the 287d vanos intake code, swapped the sensors around same code.

Could i have gotten it a little out of time even with the cam tools in place??

Any help would be great before i pull the valve cover off

Could be a mistiming issue, but not sure. Check out this thread HERE as he had the light occur after having the timing replaced like you. Might help.

Thanks for link,
It appears his code came up before and after chain replacement, mine did not come on until after,
But I need to look into re adapting the ecm to the new parts
