valve cover PCV valve

so I am told and am reading the entire valve cover has to be replaced because the PCV valve is not removable...this is absurd...$350 + in lieu of $10 for a PCV.
Anyone figured out a work around on this one?

If you have a second generation car there is no way around it you need to replace the valve cover to fix the PCV.

MINI Valve Cover N14

We have them instock and ready to ship.

I have yet to see an N12/16/18 need a valve cover but the N14 is such a problem we have at least 4-5 on the shelf at any given point.

The gen one cars use a cheap thread in PCV valve.

If it helps, look at it as a "high end" $350 PCV valve which comes with a free valve cover...

I'd be looking at some JBWELD and valve from a Chevy.

Due to the redesign of the valve cover on the R56, it is not uncommon for the valve cover to leak from the PCV valve. Unfortunately it is no longer possible to just replace the PCV valve--an entire new cover must be purchased. MINI has updated the valve cover HERE. It comes with the gaskets, oil cap and mounting hardware.

You have to get the whole cover and the new cover for the N14 engine does not come with all the stickers and badges, but does come with the main gasket set.

Here is all the info:

We have them here and all the sticker and emblems as the new vales covers don't include them. 11127646555

I am sorry but it is not reasonable to engineer these parts this way. Throwing a valve cover in the dump to replace a $5 part is not how this should work. Same issue with the thermostat housing. This should be a class action suit like the timing chain tensioner.

It's horrible engineering. It would be one thing if these were forever parts, but as a maintenance item, come on.
