Question about Adding JCW exhaust to MCS

Wondering if anyone on here knows the answer to this question or perhaps ECS will see this and answer it. Wink, wink...I just bought the Green Park Edition 2013 MCS and want to get the sound of the JCW exhaust. Exactly what do I need to replace? Do I need to put an entire JCW exhaust? I was planning on removing the resonator as I did this on my previous JCW coupe and the sound was improved. My car already pops like crazy; I just love the growl of the JCW exhaust.

I do not care about adding HP whatsoever.

If you want the JCW exh sound you could just install the JCW rear muffler just like the JCW kit. Then remove the res if you want to make it louder later.
I've got a good used one that was on a car for less than a month before he traded up. Let me see if I can get a pic.

I see your post now , You can get the JCW exhaust and match up and cut the old section out of the MCS exhaust. Then remove the resonator on the MCS part for an even louder exhaust. 18307646678

I am curious...what would be the reason why someone would want to replace the MCS stock exhaust with the expensive full JCW exhaust vs. just the muffler as you are suggesting?

Cost vs the some sound difference, Also if you get the full sections, they just bolt in , not cutting. If you get just the rear, less cost. But you will have to cut the old MCS pipe and then cut out the resonator if you want and weld in a straight pipe.

Just options vs most popular.

So after reading all of the links, how much difference is there in the sound between the JCW muffler from the tuning kit w/the embossed tips ($700) vs. the one you suggested--the cheaper one of the two?

Also after reading some posts, how much drone is there when removing the resonator? I do not remember hearing any in my coupe--could it be different for some unknown reason in a MCS?

Some info here:

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-question.html

The resonator will make its louder and and some people reported a little drone on certain rpms. The shape of the Coupe vs Hatch is different, a swear I would hear more in my R56 MCS exhaust then in my R58 Coupe. Think its the sound waves and the insulation difference in the rear end. Also you take those rear parcel decks out on both cars and you can hear much more.
