You can try the M7 Vortex 2 scoop. The only problem is with the way our MINI's were designed, not much air gets in the scoop. Sure, having a bigger one will help somewhat but the scoop doesn't really do much. Go with whatever you think looks best.

DDM WORKS race offers a package that provides a REAL forced air scoop and CAI.
Pricey, but looks good, clears your stress bar, and really works. You'll hear the difference. Minor fiddling with the underside air chamber but no big deal on simple installation.

I have the AEM hood scoop intake. I like it a lot. Good design, carefully done, great install instructions. Includes a replacement airbox, filter, great cold side turbo pipe. Sounds nice, seems to actually help power. I attribute this more to the filter and straight air path the scoop enables than to any temperature changes in the air, which gets much hotter due to compression anyway. Just lets the turbo be more efficient at its job.

Conflicts with most strut tower braces but AEM makes one that clears their airbox.

I have end M7 vortex CF scoop, it may help a tiny bit, but most the air hitting the Mini, flows above any scoop. I got it because I wanted it and I have a sickness of buying parts
BTW I have an M7 fiberglass scoop, that would need painting, it's the same Vortex look I leave. I'm asking $150 shipped in the US

My hood scoop came "non-functional". I dremeled out parts of the faux grill inside the scoop. This allowed air into the engine bay. It also allows other things in, water(when raining), sand and other debris. This winter, the engine get a bit messy - driving in snow with salt on the roads:( At speed, intake air temp (at cone filter CAI)is equivelent to out side air temp , I used a 2 channel digital thermometer and thermocouple sensors. The m7 vortex would more aggressively scoop more air than the factory scoop. Here is a mini in a wind tunnel, air will flow into the scoop .

It's raw, it has to be painted. A good paint work is about $80. I will post it tomorrow in GEN2 classifieds section, after I take some pictures.
