Mini is freshly waxed and ready for winter...

Any suggestions for plastic clearner/dressing? Don't say Amour All, I don't want it to look faded 2 years from now.

I ended up clay baring the entire car. The roof was a real mess. Now everything is glass smooth.

All told it wasn't a major detail but I did put about 5 hours into it. Wash, clay bar, polish, wax, vac, Adams glass cleaner on inside and outside glass, RainX on the side and rear glass. (I hate putting RainX on the front windshield because it streaks badly after one rain storm)

I used this wax: http://www.detailersdomain.com/Auto-...Wax_p_763.html

I use Black WOW for the plastic. Never turns it dull.

Black Wow here, too. Works great, and a little bit goes a long, long way.

Has anyone tried Forever Black? It's a dye unlike Meguire's silicone based Back to Black. I've never used it. Meguires works pretty decently, but fades after a couple of weeks to a month.

If you really want a long lasting shine on your trim I've heard Black Pearl is really good. You apply it with a paint roller and when it hardens and cures it makes a non greasy film over your trim thats supposed to keep it shiny for months. Its expensive though, like $25 for a couple ounces I think.

Black WOW works great for the smooth surfaces and Black WOW Pro and a spray gun works for the front and rear grilles

I actually tried some tire shine on the black trim. Came out great!

Armor All is bad stuff to use. It is alcohol based and actually dries out the surface that it is applied to.
