Auto Headlights on a 2013 MCS

Hello Everyone -

We picked up a 2013 MCS for my wife this past weekend. The manual states to place the light toggle on position 3 for auto headlights; however, there is not an "auto" or an "a" icon. All of my cars and all of my wife's cars have had some form of auto icon. Am I missing something?

Thanks!

From the manual.

0 Lamps off / daytime running lights
1 Parking lamps and daytime running lights
2 Low-beam headlamps and welcome lamps
3 Automatic headlamp control, daytime running lights, welcome lamps, and

Adaptive Light Control

When you open the driver's door with the ignition switched off, the exterior lighting is auto- matically switched off if the light switch is in position 0, 2 or 3.
Switch on the parking lamps if necessary, switch position 1.

I forget off hand what the icon looks like, but I think its all the way at the bottom of the switch..

Thanks, I read that it is position 3. I am just used to having an auto or "a" icon somewhere in the car so I thought that maybe this car did not have auto lights.

My old non-xenon didn't have the option. On my xenons it's below off. If you only have 3 options then yours doesn't have it.

I took a photo:

Thanks. I do not believe we have it then. We do have xenons though.

Xenons can be had separately from the auto headlamps.

The auto-headlamps on the other hand are a part of one of the convenience packages, married to the rain-sensing wipers. You can't have one without the other.

I do not have rain-sensing wipers and have the auto-headlights. I have the MINI Connected interface which lets me set it from the screen. I grabbed this screenshot from a youtube video- couldn't find anything that shows the actual setting for the lights, but here's where you'd go if you have the screen interface:

Ah, I have the premium package that has the auto-wipers. I was wondering why I had auto-lights. o.O; I guess I never looked at the description haha.
