Does this give anoyone know what will be wrong when you get these codes?

 

N12 is non turbo. You need your vanos actuator valve cleaned.
I just had it done this morning.

 

That is most likely case. I have struggled with it myself a couple months finally went to the dealer. The turbo can not be cleaned it must be replaced.

 

Anyone know how to clean the vanos actuator valve?

I would ask when was your last oil change? Sometimes just changing th oil will clear this up. Also how many miles on it? Do you have a warranty?

 

just changed the oil, 160,000 miles!

I my light keeps coming back on.

 

nope, no one ever even told me where it was or what it looked like?
I erased the code and it never came back. All my noice was from the transaxle motor mount, the but was on its last thread and it was making all the vibration, popping, starting noice etc. Tightened it up added lock tite and put another nut down ontop of the orginal. It wont come loose again!
