I have a 2007 Mini Cooper R56 non turbo with the N12 engine. I have noticed a noise which sounds like a zipper when starting and a noise that sounds like a slow vacuum leak when turned off. I read a post a while back about it being related to the vacuum pump and lines. If I remember right they said it happens when you don't have a 100% perfect seal and the vacuum pressure goes away while sitting. Can anyone confirm this or give me more information about the issue.
