What do I need to know about changing my wheels?

So I bought a set of blizzaks from tirerack with all the sensors and stuff.

Is there anything specific I need to know about swapping wheels? Like how much torque should I put on the bolts, and how do I reset the sensors?

I just did the exact same thing (sensors and Blizzaks from The Tire Rack). I insured the new setup was at the correct pressures and bolted the new rims and tires up. I had no issues with the TPMS settings and received no warning lights after doing the swap.

My summer rims and tires were set to 33 psi and the winter rims and tires are set to 35 psi. I didn't touch anything on the TPMS settings on the on board computer and have received zero warnings.

I switched my summer rims and tires out about a month ago with a set of winter rims and tires plus the TPMS. I did not touch the computer and no warning so far.

Make sure you check the torque again after say driving 50 miles.

on a R56 you will need to reset the computer. It isn't too difficult - there is a how-to around here somewhere and it may also be in the manual.

If you do get an error, you the BC (stalk end button) and go to the TPMS screen and select reset and drive for a mile or two.

I did some more reading on the TPMS system. After changing out the tires, you need to reset the TPMS system so that it recognizes the new air pressure values in the new rim and tire setup (essentially establishing a new baseline pressure for each tire). If you don't do this, the TPMS system may not function correctly in the event of a flat or low pressure situation. It's easy to reset. Check your owners manual for the procedure.

Other than resetting the TPMS light, you'll need to either buy or borrow a torque wrench to properly tighten the wheel bolts.
