I noticed the arrow next to the fuel icon in tachometer points to the right but the fuel fill-up is on the left. any ideas why?

 

Hmmm...I get a gas pump icon, but I don't remember an arrow (?).

Maybe: "Hey! Check out the fuel level gauge over *there*!

It is telling you how far it thinks you can go before you need to get gas. In this case, "go for gas in 372 miles."

I was thinking of the big ol' gas pump symbol that shows up in the tach display window at 30 miles or fewer.

As said...yes, that was my interpretation: "About your fuel: you'll need some in 372 miles..."

 

hmm... never thot of it like that. In most cars(even BMW), an arrow near fuel pump icon indicates which side you fill the fuel. I guess Mini wanted to be different

 

Maybe they figure we are small enough it doesn't matter what side the pump is on... It'll reach from anywhere...
