Sub box question

Ok, I called this shop that makes a sub box I like for the sub I want. Let's just say he was less then helpful. Kind of rude!!! Pretty much what this boils down to is they say this box fits 09-10 "I have a 08 MCS" I ask him if there was much difference between 08-10 MC or MCS and he couldn't help much. I was ready to buy on the spot but he didn't want my $$$. Now personally if I'm selling something to a consumer and idk all my info, I'm going to search out and see to get that customer, or is that just too much to ask for?

Here's the pic, if anyone can tell me if there's any differences between 08-10 I'd like to hear your thoughts and the link to the box I'd like to have.

I guess to me when a customer inquires about a product, you want to gain them and have a repeat, right, Logically?

A hardtop MCS or MC will be the same back there since 2007-2013.

Do you still have it installed or took any pics and what do you have now?

Well, you did him a nice favor by providing a free inbound link to his product!

'07+ R56's are the same, but HiFi and h/k vehicles are different from the standard 6 speaker vehicles, which have a completely different rear panel there. Depending on what the back of that enclosure is shaped like it could be a problem. Looking at that enclosure, there is no way it is going to remove easily, unless it isn't attached to the vehicle which is an even bigger problem. And we won't even get into the fact that every sub is going to have a different response curve in that enclosure, and none of them will be ideal for the MINI.....

He doesn't need to, Richard's got our system in his boot

Though when he does fold down his seats it looks like this:

I put a link to the "magic box" but maybe not and i have ran across the "integral system" but sorry I'm on a budget and Id rather have a jl audio w3 8 or 10". It looks like a sweet setup but for 1500, I think... Or 1200. Just seems alil much!!!

The magic box costs 511, 530 and that's with a jl audio w3 10" sub and grill and the amp would be 150-200 on eBay or amazon.

I've done lots and lots of research so I have a pretty good idea.

I appreciate everything but someone answered my question if there was any differences between 07/08 through 2010.

I like how they state "Finaly an enclosure that looks stealth in the cooper."

It looks like a big wart or growth of some kind. Uh, no thanks.

IA has the best solution with using space that typically is unused, not out of the side and into the minimal usable space in the MINI.

Yeah, provide a link to a rude and uninformed ebay seller. Makes about as much sense as sticking that wart in your MINI...

The IA sub is nice but is too heavy for my goals plus the cost was a factor.

The wicked cass magic box was the perfect product for my needs and budget.

NAM is a fanboy(alta, rmw,nm,coke, pepsi) forum so please only post your opinion unless you have experience with the wicked cass magic box or product info requested by thread starter.

I know you said you sold your jcw but did you take any pics with everything installed and what year was it "I know from what someone said that 07-10 are pretty much the same but it would be nice to see another with it"

My JCW was a 2009 without the hifi system. Like I posted before no pics of install.

The only difference between the box I installed and the pic wicked cass has is that my box had black carpet to match the JCW carpet instead of the grey carpet in pic.

2007-2010 r56 are the same.

Interesting. I'll bet you your 1M that the Integral Audio enclosure + speaker weighs less than the wickedcass setup with any of the listed subs. You win, I'll pay you KBB on your 1M. I win, you sign over title. Deal?

[Edit: Not to mention that if I were ranking the benefits of our system, the reduced-weight-behind-rear-axle would be a distant third at best.]

Uh, sure Dear Leader, whatever you say... NAM fanboy forum... nice way to insult all of us on this forum.

Last I checked this was an open forum and the OP gave us his insight into this eBay seller's lack of customer service and the proceeded to post a link to his webpage. After looking at that hideous looking enclosure, I gave my opinion that it looks like a wart. After reviewing it again, I'd even go so far as to say to looks like a wart on an @$$.

If you say it was the perfect product for your needs, then I'd say... well, I better not go there...

I have no dog in this fight. I don't own any kind of audio upgrade to my base system. I personally prefer to put my money towards performance upgrades but if'in I were to, it would NOT be that wart of an enclosure and the IA system looks like it is of the quality that I would want for my MINI, not something that looks like you'd buy at a flea market on the weekend. But if it works for you...

And you have a 1M and say cost was a factor with not going with IA? Seriously? Unbelievable...

Ok, come on let's get back to the topic!!!

Save all insults for something really worth insulting but not sure what that might be lol but we all have different tastes, some audio, some performance, some have a mix but reality is we all enjoy customizing and mods.
