New Side Mirror Caps - What do you think?

Hey, i got bored and decided to plasti dip my side mirror caps red. they were originally black. i'm kind of unsure about the change. please let me know what you think?

Also - I accidentally cracked the passenger side mirror glass. still usable but was wondering if MINI would give me a new one under warranty. if i lie and say just noticed it cracked while on the highway. lol

oh and i apologize for how filthy dirty the car is.

Check with a local glass shop.
They might be cheaper than the dealer and look just the same.
In fact, they may supply the dealer...

Yeah... No. Since its your installation, its your price responsibility.
Mirror glass is cheap; grab the part number and install it yourself.

And faking a "warranty" claim for a damaged part on your own doing is a type of fraud.

It's alright, would look better if you plasti dipped the whole roof haha, so it would look like a JCW.

Mirror caps look out of place. You need to tie them in by adding some other red bits. New stripes.... black with red pinstriped edges. Paint your brake calipers red.

I broke a mirror swapping out caps once. Got a replacement from Morristown MINI. They have the best parts and accessories prices of any dealership I could find.

I was thinking the same thing - even just something like red pinstripe tape along the edge of your existing stripes. Or maybe try plastidipping the brake ducts red? They're pretty easy to take out without removing the bumper.

In past posts it was recommended that to have a JCW it was the tuning kit that made it so...............now its down to the color of the mirrors. Being proprietary aren't we?

That's what I did. Red roof stripes, caps, and brake ducts. Think it looks great. Must have been a good idea since the new GP will have the ducts red too

You must do the calipers, will look great !

In fact, every MINI that is red, gray, black, blue, white, and all variations of those colors, should have red calipers.
