High Pressure Fuel Pump - Install at home?
Is replacing the HPFP something a shade tree mechanic can to at home?

Sure, just need the fuel line removal tools, but otherwise its overall straight forward.

With the Bentley, it is straight forward.
But that was assumed the OP had a reference to one.

Isn't the HPFP covered by a 100k or so warranty?

The OP does not state whaty year car they have but yes it is covered for older years and then newer years one would think it is still under the normal warranty. Unless the car has more than 100K then I would think having it done for free would be the way to go.

Is it 100k or 120k? I thought it was 120k. Unless you are over that why? Just make the stealership do it.

He might not be from the states. The HPFP is not covered like it is in the states. I know that's the case down here in Aus. No 10yr warranty for us!

Any link to the extended warranty? Mini USA refusing to replace ours with only 57k miles on an '07?

Here is the letter.
It is 10 years, 120,000 miles on the N14 motor.

Thanks for the link. Sucks ours is the base. So frustrating cause the fuel pump temp sensor and water pump all went at 57k miles along with something to do with the airbag or server sensor.
