R56 My chick hates my car! Am i alone?
My boyfriend is not crazy about my car but he doesn't complain about it and he puts up with my obsession (for the most part). On the other hand, he is obsessed with working out but I couldn't care less about how he balances his cardio with strength training or whatever. I always listen to everything he has to say and sometimes I even humor him by asking him questions about his work out routines. When you care about somebody, even just a little bit, you don't dis their hobbies.
You can try talking to her about it but based on the fact that she won't even ride in your car even though she knows that you love it, I'm pretty sure she is just selfish/really hates minis and will never change her mind. There are plenty of girls who love minis (all of my girlfriends love my car) so just ditch her before the relationship gets more serious.

I was in your shoes once. My beautiful intelligent sexy etc GF/Fiance hated my car, a Stage 2 Roush Mustang and coincidentally it too was yellow. With her anything that got more attention than her was immediately and intensely hated. I tried to stay with her but in the end her jealousy and control was too much. Dropped her and found someone with a beautiful spirit. She respects my hobbyist enthusiasm AND she bought my MINI for me.

Sounds familiar. We were at the dealer putting a deal together for the Cooper Coupe S. I mentioned to the MA "Boy I sure would like to have one of those JCW Coupes." My wife pipes up, "Well if you want one go ahead and get it. If you don't you'll regret it and won't be completely happy with the S."
She did not have to tell me twice and my MA had a big smile on his face. Bigger than mine I think.

Ignore the car for a second. You're dating someone who wants her way no matter what and will not compromise or take your feelings into account. Better you realize this after 5 months than after you're married and she takes half your stuff.

To the OP: Your girl is cute, but if she actually wants you to get rid of a car you love for no good reason, she's gonna be in the pain in the ***. The world is full of beautiful women, you're a young guy. Sample as many as you can before you settle down with a keeper and get married. She'll support your hobbies even if she doesn't share them.

Sad tale about your dilemma, but you just have to see the positive side in this - it means more solitary drives of exhilaration for you! I say drive your MINI so much she starts feeling you like your MINI more than her to which you can reply "yup".

ok guys thank you all for you support and funny comments and well i have made up my mind and i broke up with her. and since im so upset with everything i just ordered my ac schnitzer body kit. you guys have made me laugh and think about the situation as a whole and well i have more in common with all of you then i do with her so yep single guy here ! thank you all
