My gf loves my car! Her aunt says it looks like a little frog!

 

I just bought a MINI at the end of August on a whim (traded in a perfectly good tC in excellent working condition). My boyfriend says I'm "obsessed" with my car but he def doesn't disrespect my interest in it. He loves it every time I see another MINI and squeal "Mini!!!" and point.

You fit in perfectly here. Most people (including myself) are obsessed, if they weren't before they came her they are now. I had no interest in MINI's until one day about 5 years ago, I told her to start looking at cars hers was dying. She raved about it but complained that it was too small. So I agreed. besides, we weren't in a position to make the change I gave in a few years ago when the Clubman came out but still stayed away. We saw the CM on display in a NJ Mall and should I say the rest is history. I really got it after we went for two test drives, The first one had very little fuel so we went back after my research was done. We take delivery tomorrow. Basically there is hope for all of the non believers.

 

Other than her ability to control you, tell us what she likes about you?

haha i think she might be! i know she feels its too small. I traded in my truck for it. and i know she hates the color. also im the type of person that will research and research and well maybe i have gone a little over board being online every chance i get i just love this car lol

Honestly, let it ride (no pun intended) right now. If this relationship grows you might have to move to the Clubman or the Countryman. My wife loved the hardtop but couldn't stay in it. (she felt to confined) we ended up getting the Countryman.

Yep I agree with Neitherfanboy on this one. To all of those who are saying to get rid of her, don't count your chickens before they hatch. You never know, she might eventually warm up to the MINI. I wouldn't make any hasty decisions before talking things out first. You never know what might come home to roost....

 

Many of us stated Jay get rid of his GF,were unaware of the facts presented tonight. Thus we should be vindicated if we offended anyone.

 

What kind of car would she prefer you drive?

 

maybe Jay needs to trade it in for a Clubman or a Countryman but this time compromise on the color. Let her have some input. but only if you are going to stay with her.

My wife loves the mini. I think its about time you get a GF that loves what you love. Maybe not everything you love, but a car definitely helps.

If she loved a Nissan Cube, would you love it too? I think they are hideous.. no offense to anyone that loves them, but seriously, i would be trying to convince my wife to get rid of it.. LOL
