Engine is finally broken in and sport button is :-)

I have 1500 miles on my MINI now and I've been playing with the Sport button. I LOVE it When I test drove the MINI months ago, I hit the button and couldn't tell a thing. I thought that it was all hype. I think you have to drive the car daily in normal mode to understand the difference. I can't really tell if the steering is sharper, but the throttle response is much better.

I waited to hit the sport button until I broke her in. Before then, I found that I had a hard time rev-matching on my downshifts. It's like I couldn't get the revs to build fast enough. But now, with the SPORT button on, I can rev-match downshift again The side affect is that I seem to drive much faster now, hmmmm.....

Anyway, just thought I'd share. I LOVE my MINI. And just because I like showing pictures of my MINI

Although I'll probably be careful with engine revs until broken in, I expect I will have the Sport Button ON at all times right from the start when I get my JCW

Why were you waiting so long to use it? I wouldn't think it would affect anything in regards to the car being broken in or not. I've been using the sport button the last few days (I only have 500 miles) and can't imaging driving without it, lol.

Because I was afraid I'd drive it too hard, LOL.

Reading your posts got me all worked up. Mine is in production this week and I should have it by mid Sept. I can't wait!

You're going to LOVE your MINI. What did you order? The wait can be horrible, but in the end, it's ALL worth it
