Has anyone purchased rear fog lights? My mini has the cut outs for them and i would like to put them in but ive been looking and cant seem to find any. The one i did find has a red lens and i was looking for a clear lens. I figured this would be a popular selling item. Any suggestions?

Yes. I bought mine used but you can go on Waymotorworks, Outmotoring, Mossmini, and MiniMania. They are about $50ish for just the lenses. That does not include wiring and programming them to work.

You can do that.
Make sure you get electricity from a place that turns off with the key.

 

You have to have your MINI programed for them to come on which the stealership can do and it doesn't take very long. I will be doing that when I get back and get mine installed. Or you can hook them so that they light up with your brakes. There is a how to on it.

Rear fog lights are red. It is a brighter red light that can help people see you in fog. You can't be shining a white light back at someone. Unless you want a clear lens with a red bulb.

I bought some from Mini Mania just to fill in those horrible looking blank holes. I didn't hook them up though, they're just there looking pretty.
