TPMS Install help!!!
I got only a few hours to get a good deal on a set of tires for the new Rota RB's I bought. I gotta get to the guys shop in a few hours(down low deal lol). He said if I get there in time and have the wheels set up wth the sensors in em so he wont have to bother with em I woould get the tires on the wheels, balanced and out the door for $400. Tires are Khumo escta I believe. Here's the thing, I got the sensors and dont know which way to put em on. I know the basic like the black part goes in the wheel and the other piece screws into it but theres one other washer that I dont know where it goes. Here's a pic.

the little washer on the bottom is where Im confused. Theres already one on the valve stem.

Drats! I didnt make it to the guys tire shop in time. He was guna sell me tires somone ordered but didnt pick up(its been 2 days). I got there and the person who ordered was getting them put on his Honda. The shop guy said he was trying to hide them but from the guy who ordered them but couldnt.
So now Im in the market for tires again. Talking to the tire guy he said 205/45/17 wouldnt fit my wheels properly (stretched) since they are 17x7.5. Im in NYC so need something thats guna protect the wheel but not look like truck tires lol.

No, I meant the deal he was making you was shady, and screwing over his other customer. Eventually he will get around to screwing you too.

Tire size...
Given the input you got on tire width on 7.5's, consider 225/45 17's. That is what I am running on my 2010 S, in my case on stock 7" rims. 225's are the largest 45 spec'ed for a 7" wheel, so with a 7.5" you have width to spare. Note it will be increasing your tread width some, but also your sidewall size--not by a huge margin, but some. From my fitment at stock offset, it seemed to be about the widest tire practical without any rubbing. Clearances are tight now but all w/out any rubbing. Do note for this, or most anything else beyond the 205/45's, from what I can see on mine, there wouldn't be adequate clearance left for even the narrow clearance type cable chains in winter, if that matters for you in NYC. You will find a good number of other posts about good impressions with 215/45's, a more common width tweak than the 225's. May relate some to R53's, which from the posts may have rubbing issues sooner than R56's as the width goes up.
