Do you feel there is a possibility of the Christmas tree effect with greenish cast and red roof? I've got my 2012 JCW on order with same colours as you.
My wife is thinking we should go EG with white roof which I also like. But inside we wanted the chili red to replace the piano black finish.
The EG colour is very deep, but not too dark like black. Can't wait for delivery day...!
In a word, NO. The greenish cast is very subtle and even then only visible under certain conditionts light+viewing angle. I think you'll really like it.

Thanks I can't wait. Found out last week my factory JCW hatch build date has been moved up from November to October. I guess MINI think they will have the factory Aero ready early.
droping in to say hello to everyone. I got me an eclipse grey mini s in march this year. Nothing like a mini.
Hi Thomas, welcome to the club! While we all here have eclipse grey MINIs, yours and mine are even more similar as it looks like yours too is all eclipse grey (body, roof, and mirror covers) which seems to be more of the exception.
Glad to hear you, like me, are enjoying your MINI!
Great to see such nice looking EG vehicles in this thread. I am currently waiting on my EG Coupe which is presently in production. Hopefully I will have it next month!
I think it will be a beauty, EG/CR.

Congrats! You won't be sorry in your color choice. Mine has now been through it's FIRST rain and I was very pleasantly surprised how well it hid the dirt almost everywhere. The only part of the car that looked dirty was the back hatch. Will look forward to seeing pics once it arrives!

I can't wait to see it in person. The car is completed and waiting to get to the port of exit. Hopefully, I will see it in my driveway before Thanksgiving!
With the rain we get in fall and spring in Illinois it will be great that the color hides dirt well.
Welcome me to this club as today I bid farewell to my dearly loved "Jetta" (2009 Astro Black Cooper S) and turned the page to a 2012 Eclipse Gray Cooper S with a black roof, mirror and bonnet stripes.
No pic yet as she will be at the dealer for a couple days for prep. They just unloaded her from the truck this morning.
I went in targeting another one but changed my mind when I saw the EG.
Still thinking of a name. She looks smoky so maybe something to do with that.
Had winter wheels and tires installed, dealership PDI completed. Car will be ready for delivery/pick-up Monday
