My beloved '08 MC was recently totaled after being rear ended (fortunately no injuries though). I decided the replacement would be an '11 MCS and found a nice Eclipse Gray/Black in a nearby dealer's inventory... which sadly was sold to someone else before I had a chance to act on it. Not seeing anything else I liked locally, and not wanting to wait for a factory order, I asked my MA to look into dealer trades. I ended up trying to decide between a Horizon Blue/Black and an Eclipse Gray/White - and even though I had initially been looking for a black roof I decided to defect to the Light Side and go for the EG/W.
On the way home a serious case of haven't-even-bought-it-yet remorse set in regarding the white roof. Until I took another look at CFRM and bmarvin81's photos, that is. It's going to look great!
It's not a sure thing yet as the dealer the car currently belongs to still needs to approve the trade. Assuming all goes well, though, I'm looking forward to getting out motoring again - and sharing some Eclipse Gray photos!
Edit: hey bmarvin81, your windows are tinted, right? What percentage?

So because I haven't posted in this thread of my progress as of lately, I decided to post these pics here too.
I've been working with Plasti-dip and have so far done the following:
2-Piece Grill
Headlight Rings
Hood Scoop
Hatch Handle
Rear taillights
Rear emblem
I plan on doing the wheels sometime this week.
Also dropping off the Mini at the dealership to check out an Turbo oil line leak. They will be replacing my vinyl stripes on the hood due to them being water spotted when I first bought the mini. I'm gonna ask that they replace them with solid black stripes.

Hi guys, new (and proud) owner of a 2011 Eclipse Gray MCS. Stumbled upon this group and decided I would like to be part of a group that has EXCELLENT taste in vehicles. ;-) Upon reading all the posts and looking at the pics, sounds like you guys put alot of thought into your selection.
I had the extreme fortune of walking onto a dealership here in the CA Bay Area and finding mine on the showroom floor (it had been there all of a few hours) and decided I wasn't going home without it. Lovin' it (and that's high praise coming from someone who's previous car was an M5 BMW). It's LOTS of fun to drive...can't wait until I'm past the break-in period and can really push on it more...
My car (I've already named him "Grayson") has *almost* everything I would have wanted had I ordered one myself: Cooper S / Eclipse Gray / Eclipse Gray roof / Eclipse Gray mirrors / Black interior / Leatherette / Performance pkg / JCW Aero kit / 17" wheels / Xenons / Black headlights / Connected + Nav / Harmon Kardon / seat heaters. What would have been nice? Convenience pkg / Leather lounge seating / Auto climate control. Only mods I've made so far are to put a stubby antenna (easier to put cover on) and Mini valve stem covers. It's a slippery slope the things you can get for this car (but I actually like the "simplicity" of the way mine looks now).
Have a couple of pics that I took with my phone. Will try and figure out how to upload and, now that I'm part of this group, take some pics with a real camera and get those uploaded as well.
Cheers!

FIRST POST!!
DUCHESS: 2011 MCS - Automatic - Black Roof & Mirrors - Sport Package (17" Conical Spoke Wheels) - Premium Package - Bluetooth/iPod - Rubber Floor Mats & Boot Mat - Dealer Armrest - Carbon Black Leatherette
Things I wish I would have got: Leather seats (probably having this added aftermarket), Anthracite headliner, Blacked out headlights.
Likely first mod(s): 18" wheels & 22mm rear sway bar
Already tinted the windows: 50% on the driver & passenger door, 35% all the way around the back.
