Should I wait?

Greetings people,
I've been lurking through these forums quite a while and I hopefully could be a MINI owner soon. I was thinking about the Cooper S....but I know that there's gonna be a refresh/facelift for the 2011 model. Should I wait for the new model or go with a deal with the 2010 model? I have to make an order through the dealer because they don't have the one i want (MCS Horizon Blue w/ sport package, HK system, Bluetooth/iPod)....so I don't think they're gonna make such a good deal. Suggestions?

Anyone know when the dealers start ordering for the new model and how soon they can arrive.....or when production starts?

Can you wait til late fall for a new mini?.....the wait can be excruciating. Revised front end, functional brake vents, 3mpg improvement, and led tail lights. That is the prize for waiting...up to you sir.

If what you want is not available then wait or look for it with other dealers all their websites show inventory. I wouldn't consider the 2011 updates to be worth waiting for, but thats me not you.

I have heard as early as September and as late as November. It really is up to you. Do you want to spend money for something new(assuming that you like the face lift) or do you want to spend that same amount of money and get more options(maybe even a deal on a JCW). Personally if I were in the market I would get the 2011 for the new stuff but, that is just me.

Does anyone know if the 2011 LED taillights will fit the earlier 2009-2010 models?

They may very well fit but may cause bulb out warnings as the car sees the LED's and regular bulbs differently.

Yes and no. I have LED side repeators and the only time I had a bulb out warning was when it some how got unplugged. Others might be its kinda of a hit and miss with them. The first thing that you need to worry about is if they are the same size and dimensions. The worst part is that they might be the right size but the screws that hold them on might be in different places. I have seen that on other cars.
