Laurel Cabrillo

We bought the Laurel Cabrilo new off the lot. We luv it. It is definitely a head turner.

We just bought a 2011 Hampton edition. luv it also. If I knew how to post pictures on here I would do so. They are on Facebook as Sgt. Peppr and Nickory.

BTW, now I really feel like I stole this car...

This is the latest from Autotrader.com. There are 2 Laurels for sale and they're both higher mileage and asking a whole lot more than what I paid...

This one is shamefully an auto...yikes!

Does anyone want to take a shot at designing a Laurel Sport Badge? I saw this site on another post and think that the few of us who have the Laurel Sports should do this!

http://www.gobadges.com/custom-badges-s/242.htm

I'm no good with graphic design or even art. But if someone on here is, please take a shot at it and then we can all share in the spoils. I'm thinking the design should look something like how my sig pic looks (which I stole from someone on here), minus the car, but say Limited Laurel Sport or Laurel Sport Edition X/100. Then each of us could put in a number of thier choice. Since we don't know how they're numbered I guess we can just choose a number of our liking...hahahah.

Blk Xenon's

Swapped out the clear/chrome Xenon's for Mini's new Blk Xenon's. I think its just about the right darkness.

I'd like to see what it looks like with the headlight trim rings black to match the grill trim.

De-chroming the headlights, tails, gas cap, and door handles makes it look just right!

I was considering going the full JCW engine tuning, exhaust, and intake route. What do you guys think? Its such a good looking Mini and I think the only thing to do is make the car perform up to its looks.

Thinking about lowering it just a bit. The 215/40/18's with Ultraleggra's fill the wheel gap pretty well.

You will get a lot more performance from an aftermarket tune than you will from a tuning kit.

I use the Fact. jcw exhaust mated to my invidia piping and its perfectly clear, cant beat the sound and with no drone to my ears its comfortable when i need it and lous when i want it

Just dont read the adverts thinking exhaust and intakes will get you some power ... buy what you like but because you like it, not because it advertises +xx hp's

You want power get a tune

doesn't the JCW kit include the tuning in the price? Nowadays I prefer not to mod my cars too much. I think I'm just getting old. I prefer things come setup from the factory (hence the GP and M5). The Laurel is my wife's and she is perfectly happy with the way it is now but it wouldn't hurt to have a little bit of grunt to go with the looks. First and foremost is how do I get that pop and burble back? I love the way my GP sounds!!!

Pop and burble cant be done with the 2007-2010, its not in the ecu programming. The kit does include the tune, but you can get a lot more power from an aftermarket tune. JCW kit retains warranty so that seems like its going to be your route.

Not assuming but is yours a legit Laurel? Your front lip isnt that of the laurel which came with the second generation lip?
