One was a higher CCA slightly than the other, the old one was Douglas / Exide clear battery and I believe the new ones are Johnson control in the black. MINI changes it slightly with the manufacturers over the years but they are within spec.

Not that it matters at this point, but for anyone who might have questions in the future, I replaced mine with a Die-Hard 48 AGM battery. I had great success with one in my Jeep so the MINI got the same treatment.
Laurel Edition update. Still have yours? I have a little over 10,000m. It's sits in the garage. Goes out for a 6pack once in a while. But I still enjoy it as much as ever.
Any of you that have sold your Laurel, does it add any value to the asking price?
I'm going to be putting mine up for sale soon. I know many of these MINI "Limited Edition" cars are basically option packages and it would really only matter to someone looking for a Laurel I guess.
New to the site.Just purchased a 2010 clubman s Laurel edition. Has anyone had the red/blue stripes and emblems reproduced? It’s my understanding they are no longer available thru oem. Thanks
I did some research and it was my understanding that the stripe kit above would not work because the clubman has a longer body than the regular cooper????
No, I do have a Clubman Laurel Edition. I believe i read another thread started by GRAY RAVEN and you replied that the strip kit 5114040501 was no longer available.

GrayRaven - I think these are the set ( Red / Blue ) and they are NLA. Based on the set, it looks like there was one part number for the whole set with the side stripes.
Ok, yep the R55 clubman side stipes are nlas, but the top stripes are still ok. The R56 side stripes are the only ones left and they are too short for the R55, my guess is they would come close but would be short maybe half a foot?
OK, so thats why I was curious if anyone had luck on having them made. I need both sides, hood, roof and barn door . I can probably have them made I was just hoping to find
someone who has already went through all of the work of measuring and figuring.
Thanks Dave
I would get the R56 set then take it to a sticker shop and have them copy and print the rear portion and extend it more. Most people that do decals can do that.
Way late but I've had a convertible LE for a few years. I'm owner #2. His name is Eddie.
Made some changes (this is not a complete list):
suspension - Fortune Auto adjustable coilovers with a remote damper controller
interior - deleted the rear seat and built a lockable box back there
under the bonnet - upgraded turbo pipes, oil catch can
Unfortunately, I've also wrecked it twice (ok, once was my husband getting run off the road in a road rage incident) but he's come out each time just fine.
Also gotten to deal with replacing the timing chain, valve seals, water pump, and oil pan.....*deep sigh*
More stuff on the wishlist as funding permits though!
