OBD Plug/Cover

I've decided to buy a Scangauge II (I miss not having a water temperature gauge and a volt meter) for my 2009 MCS. I've located the OBD port on the left side of the driver footwell. It even has "OBD" printed in nice white letters . But it looks like the port has some sort of a plug/cover which was confirmed by other forum posts. One post mentions that it is hinged. I've tried carefully but unsuccessfully to pull it off or find some tab or button that would release the plug/cover. Can someone tell me what I need to do to remove it?

Thanks folks!

OBD cover

The cover has two plastic straps that have retainer tabs on the ends. My cover came off with a good tug but if yours isn't cooperating you could just clip the straps. - Ron
