2007 JCW 21K miles for $23K

Good deal or not? No navigation and no convenience package, IE no garage door opener. Not sure what else is included in that. Other than that it is in primo condition.

Also are all JCW's rougher than a normal S? i know it has upgraded suspension but the difference between a JCW and an S was like night day in terms of ride.

A base JCW has the same suspension as a base S. The JCW Stage II came out in late 2008 I think, so I guess you're looking at a Stage I car (an S with the tuning kit)?

Good question, I was under the impression it had the JCW package, bodykit, wheels, turbo and chip? I could see behind the wheels it had red springs, which I assumed was the JCW suspension. Not sure if the S springs are red a well. Seller also said it was an 1" lower than the S. I obviously couldn't confirm the turbo or chip part.

How can I tell? I am new to mini's.

Sounds like a really good deal if it's actually a JCW.

Used to be a thread around here you could run the VIN of a MINI your interested in buying. Try the search feature, might get a hit.

Does the MINI have JCW suspension, Stage 1 JCW Tuning kit, JCW Body kit?

Hard to tell without a VIN search or the options list from the original order.

JCWs are not rougher than a normal S, depends on what suspension is on this MINI. They ride tighter depending on the spring set installed, factory or aftermarket.

Ok.

Did the owners lounge thing and it said JCW tuning kit, JCW sport suspension and Sirius satellite radio.

This is the car.

Thoughts?

That's an S with JCW aero kit, suspension, maybe tuning kit (can't see the badges, you can tell by the jcw air box too). It's not a JCW factory car since it doesn't have the JCW brakes and is an '07. Also has S side scuttles.

Not a bad deal if it has decent miles, it's a pretty expensive car new.

Mini owners site says it has the JCW tuning kit, so I assume it does.

It has 21K miles on it.

So it does have different suspension than a regular S? And the handling difference I noticed must be due to the JCW suspension? Safe to assume?

The JCW suspension is stiffer than stock and lowered .4 inches. Has stiffer sway bars too. The ride shouldn't be THAT rough though compared to stock, I like the ride of the JCW suspension.

Yes it's and S with the JCW tuning kit

Yes Astro Black has a blue tint to it. It's a love or hate color

Great price and low miles jump on it right away before someone else does

I think I have seen this car on here before. I'll try and find the thread. He was saying how he just got a 2007 JCW. He thought he had the factory JCW but it ended up only being the tuning kits and suspension. Interesting.....

Update, agreed on $21.5 for the car. Which is great in my opinion, the seller had it listed for $25K. Car is a blast to drive, so much fun, seems like it has some torque steer though, is that typical even with the LSD?

Since the sport and JCdub setups are optional even on the Factory JCW probably whatever comes stock on the MCS.

Now that pisses me off. 30k plus for a car that does not even come with the better suspension. WTF.
