Adam Carolla went on a nice 2-3 minute jag about the Mini Cooper S last week on his radio show. For those who don't know, Adam is a comedian and radio personality who has been picked to host the American version of Top Gear that's scheduled for this fall.

Someone called in and asked him what the fastest car is that he's driven. He mentioned some car, then said what was really important was that a car is fun to drive, and then went on to talk about how great the Mini Cooper is. He never really got around to answering the original question, but I found his answer much more satisfying.

He's really a funny guy, I agree. Check out his latest movie on DVD, called "The Hammer". Great flick.

 

Yeah, I heard the caller ask him which car was his favorite and I immediately knew he had to say the MCS, and sure enough he did.
I am an avid Adam Carolla fan and I acctually credit him to why I bought a cooper. He mentioned long ago that he had a MCS and that it was a fun little go-kart that had the "visceral" supercharger feeling that you get from no other car, that the supercharger was essentially a positive feedback loop wherein the faster the engine turns the more boost you get which makes the engine turn faster still which causes... you get the idea

Very good movie. I have shown it to some of my family and now they are all interested in him

 

more importantly he'll be the host of the upcoming Top Gear (american-version)

what's sad is that during that rant about the Mini Cooper S, he mistakenly claimed that the new Mini hasn't changed at all since it was released in '02. I would have expected a bit more knowledge on Mini's from an owner & future host of THE automotive show for gearheads.

to me it was so lame, Corolla was the only decent part.

What I miss is The Man Show, maybe they will bring it back when ABC hires Leno and Kimel walks out, shame to, Kimel is so much funnier then Leno.

 

I've seen him in the TV show Adam Corolla project where he also drove his cars modded 350Z & Aston Martin DB8.

I'd listen to those people call in, and I'd instantly feel better about myself after a bad day....

The only part about it that was funny was the level of intelligence of the callers (or lack there of i should say)

 

The reason I thought the show was so awful was Dr. Drew, he was such a self-righteous, condescending, know-it-all, to me it was unbearable to listen to despite Corollas comedy and the pathetic callers.

 

If he was such a big Mini guy, where was he during last weekend's Mini Takes the States? The only celebrities I saw were MINImizeMe, SteelersFan and other NAM members.
