Laser blue but can't decide on sunroof graphics

I'm brand new to the site and trying to sort through all the cool options for my mini and was hoping for some help. I want to add a graphic to the sunroof to cut down on the sun and to add a uniqueness but haven't seen any of the graphics I've seen on other cars on the the laser blue. Does anyone have a LaB/B with union jack? Do the blues clash? I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks for any help!

Yes, the blues are different/darker on the standard Union Jack. Don't know how good that would look on Laser Blue. IMO, the Black Jack sun roof graphic (made up of shades of gray, black & white) is very classy and would look great! Sorry, no pix.

In addition to the roof graphic, get your sunroof tinted because the sunroof shade is crapola! I agree that the Black Jack roof graphic would look great with the Laser Blue!

I didn't but my husband did... I also have a daughter at Pitt. We are a house divided... I don't think I want to open that "Pandora's Box" with the colleges but its a good thought and would look great. I have never seen any college logos.
It brings up another question, I see lots of on line purchase opportunities but how do you find a qualified installer? I know the dealer subcontracts but I don't know if they will install another company's graphic.

So if I get the roof graphic do you feel I'll still need the tinting? That was my main reason for the graphic - to cut down on the sun. Thanks for the feedback on the black jack. So far, its the one I'm most sure of. I'm still waiting for a quote from the dealer on tinting all the windows. If I move forward with it, I will definitely include the sunroof.
BTW, your mini is gonna be so sweet! SS/B was my first choice but hubby eventually convinced me on LaB/B... it was a tough decision. I want one of each.

Have you looked at the roof graphics available from Cooper Flags, and Aesthetic Creations? Personally, I'd probably design something myself and have it made, or get a Welsh Dragon. I'm toying with the idea of having one of my photographs made into a roof graphic, but I don't have a sunroof.

I would think that a perforated sunroof graphic would cut down on the light and heat coming in the sunroof, especially if it had a lot of white area.

Going through the dealer for tints may be the most expensive way to do it. They will probably send it out to a local firm. If you can find a reputable local firm that guaranties their work (including exploding window glass) it might be a less expensive way to go.

I was wondering the exact same thing! I have a LaB/S Clubman and have gotten a quote for tinting, but am holding off because I am debating on getting a sunroof graphic and I figured I would only need one or the other, not both.

The problem is that I've pretty much decided I want a custom graphic, and I figure it will be a while before I can make that happen. I know Aesthetic Creations usually comes out east for MOTD, but that's a good 10 months away. I found a local sign shop that has done a lot of vehicle wraps so I thought about checking in with them to see what they could do, but I think it would still be a while before I could get it done (getting someone to do the art, spending the $$ for the art/installation...I'm kind of focused on putting every possible $ to paying off the car).

Just have the Union Jack colored to match your car like I did!
The one I have is perforated and I love it, it cuts the light down by about 60 percent and when the stock sunshade is closed, it's down to about 75-80 percent. No beed to get a roof graphic AND tint the sunroof!

Black Jack in matching car color looks great! If you don't mind the personal question, did you have it customized and did the same company do the installation? I'm glad to hear that I won't need to tint and graphic the roof. I am trying to find someone local to install but I'm not sure if they will install a graphic from a company like cooper flags etc.

I got it from cooperflags.com, and since I work in the printing industry, I knew the exact color that I needed them to make it. I asked for the "Union Jack" design but told them where I wanted yellow and where I wanted white. If you give them a call, I'm positive that they will know the color combo to make it match "Laser-Blue". As far as the installation went, I installed it myself but it wasn't that bad. If you call a local shop in your area, they will probably install it for you. Another option is to call the dealer where you bought the car and ask them who they use, after all, they don't actually keep a vinyl installer on their payroll. They sub the work out to a local installer. Here is a closer pic for ya:

After the flag had been made, I decided that it needed the black in it just to set it off a little, so I added the pinstriping. If it's also something that you want, let cooperflags.com, or whoever you contact, know that you want that as well, they'll be more than happy to work with you to give you exactly what you want.
Good Luck and keep us updated!

Thanks ... LB was my first choice and my hubby was partial to the SS! Maybe we should switch cars ... HA! It sounds like the roof graphic will cut down on the sun considerably ... good luck with it!
