Pictures of a 2nd Generation Cooper CLASSIC

I posted this same post in the Canadian Forum, but since there is not too much traffic on that forum, i thought perhaps there were a few Canadians here that would have a Mini Cooper Classic.

My wife would like to see some pictures of the classic, inside and outside to see what the actual visual difference there is between the classic and the Mini Cooper.

Im on NAM often and she see`s pictures of all your Mini`s but asked to see one of a Mini Cooper Classic. So if there is anyone that has pictures please dont hesitate to post them up!

AND... I know what some of you are saying to yourselves just go to the dealer and take a look, and you are right but we just dont have matching schedules and when we do, we have the kids with us. We would prefer to have no kids with us so we can appreciate the WHOLE Mini experience and come to a logical decission.

So for all you Canadians out there that have pictures of their Mini Cooper Classic, POST THEM UP!

Thanks.

Kirk.

I think he's referring to a Canadian only special edition called the "Classic". If I remeber right, its a cheap version of the Cooper with no options.

Yes, it is a Canadian Special Edition. Frankly, I've never seen a pic of one anywhere on NAM. It'd be interesting to see, though, as we seldom get packages like this.

I want to say that visually there's no difference...? Of course, not having seen any pictures, I'm just guessing.

I looked it up on www.mini.ca and it looks the same as any other R56 MINI, just a lower equipment level.

Found this picture of a 2008 Mini Cooper with the Classic package.

Non-metallic colours only, no contrasting roof/mirrors. It's the only Canadian-spec Mini with 15" wheels.

Yeah, I'm not sure photographically you'd be able to tell a Classic package from any lightly appointed Cooper (like mine)....the car look pretty much the same. If you want pictures of features unique to the Classic package we may be of more help...seat types, color types, wheel types, etc..

The only exterior difference is the wheels. 15" only on the Classic; 16" standard on the regular Cooper. Inside it's the same, just no controls for the missing DSC and OBC. If all you want is a stripped-down Mini it's the way to go.
