How to turn mini HID off?? (CA)

hi everyone, it is my first time posting.
I have a 2007 MCS and i live in Canada Vancouver.
I am wondering how do i turn the HID headlight off in daytime??
I tried every switches that attached to the steering wheel and i found no differences, just the on and off for the interior orange light.
I would like to turn the HID off in daytime cuz i found it unecessary.
Anyone has the same wonder?

i asked mini dealer here too, and they said the headlight is automatic on and off. It depends on how bright or dark the environment is.

In addition, anyone knows how to change the interior light? i saw people changed the interior light to water blue which is reli cool.

Thanks very much~!!

The daytime running light is obligatory for Canada, so I don't think you can turn it off. On the US models, you can set it through the onboard computer. If you have the auto headlights (turns on automatically when it's dark), that's where you would set it, too.

To change the color of the mood lighting there is a row of toggle switches on the headliner above the rear view mirror.2 outboard for the interior lights,1 for the optional moon roof and another to change the mood lighting.Press and hold that to watch the colors change and stop at the one you like best.

Oh and regarding the DRL rippymcs is correct as they are mandatory in Canada so I don't believe there is a way to turn them off like here in the U.S.

Correct - the HIDs are the DRLs in Canada and they cannot be turned off because that option isn't there in the OBC, unfortunately. Since the car runs full headlights and taillights all the time, the "auto" setting for the headlights just turns on the dash illumination when it gets dark.

Years ago when in BC, I spent 15 minutes trying to turn OFF the headlights of a rental car. I felt like an idiot when the guy at the hotel front desk told me about daytime running lights.

Now, I constantly drive with the headlights on all my cars. Just to be seen, but I agree, it should be MY choice and not mandated.

4. Briefly press the button repeatedly until the

To repeat - the DRLs on Canadian vehicles cannot be turned off. That option has been removed from the OBC.

Hi all, I have a 2003 Cooper S ~ Does anyone know of way to disable daytime running lights w/o going to dealer.

When parked I found that my fog lights will work with running lights on, but soon as I dis-engage my e-brake, the day time running lights come on and fogs turn off.

BTW, these options are in the "vehicle settings" screen if you have the built in NAV system.
