R56 Did you receive anything from MINI after purchase?
Anyone know whether these "gifts" are instigated by MINI or by your dealer? We've not received anything, but then again our dealer couldn't find "service" or "customer appreciation" if we gave them a dictionary...
Received the Mini Adventure Field Kit today, One month and a week from delivery. Nice items and gesture. Antenna ball was Union Jack on white. Gave to wife for her miata. (She's from Portsmouth,UK) Go Pompey!
i got a . . .
I received a nice Prestige MINI duffel bag. In the duffel bag was a Prestige MINI shirt and hat as well as the "mini" MINI stainless steel travel mug. Overall a very nice package.
I also received free driving lamps since they left the xenon's off my order. . .

Got it!
My car arrived on July 28 and I just recieved my Adventure Kit today. Bought the car from Brecht MINI in Escondido, CA. I think it's very cool and a really nice thing for MINI to do. I have purchased a lot of new cars in my life, and never got a thing!! My antenna ball was a cool little 8 ball. Love the car...no issues yet at 1,400 miles.
Actually for me it was a toss up between the xenons and driving lights anyway. I went with them on the order because they run 400 dollars less than the driving lights installed do. I love them. The driving lights are more light than I will ever need and it is awesome.

Since you brought it up, I'll disclose the nature of the "Top Secret" (it's okay, we're all MINI owners or soon-to-be) items. There are what appear to be 3D glasses, an etched plastic viewing window and card with specially-arranged punchouts which are meant to be used to find hidden messages in MINI ads appearing in car magazines. To date, I have only seen ads in MC2 Magazine and Road & Track, but now I'm really going to be on high alert to find some!
Here's a pic of what was in my "MINI Field Adventure Kit" (The "MINI PARKING ONLY" stencil arrived a few days later in a separate mailing. Funny, because I read somewhere that others received them in their kit!)

Hope I didn't spoil it for anyone!
(I don't think I did, since several others posted pix of the contents of their MINI swag in the preceding pages.)

Got all of this stuff too! (although no Mini Parking sign...)
Very strange... when I clicked on the link in the email notification of your posting (not on NAM itself), here's the photo that was attached:

I thought that was an odd combination of things for MINI to send out...

That IS odd isn't it? That's what I was thinking of eating when I originally posted!
Actually, I had just posted that pic of my "Breakfast of Champions" (An order of scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, toast and a delicious Rubicon Brewery India Pale Ale) in another forum! I accidentally placed the same photo link into the NAM forum, then went back in and edited my content. Sorry for the confusion!

I also received floor mats (they gave me a selection between rubber and cloth - got rubber) and a key chain.
Still no adventure kit, though it's only been a month (OK, 5 weeks). I did get another (that makes 2) stencil in the mail today, though, and a coupon for 15% off any installed accessory or JCW item.
It's coming. Mine showed up exactly 5 months after I got my car. I thought maybe they for got about me or it had been stolen off my porch then I got home one night last week to find a bulge under my door mat with the Mini Adventure Kit inside.
Their timing is peculiar, for sure. Jgarner53 got her stencil just prior to taking delivery of her car, shortly after it arrived in port.
It's undoubtedly a huge undertaking: getting "welcome wagon" gifts distributed to all MINI buyers, coordinating who got what and so forth. I'm not making excuses for anyone, just considering how daunting a task it may be. If someone here didn't receive anything for five months, at what point should a buyer prod the dealer, or the company itself to deliver the goods? Granted, it's a gift, but it should go to everyone or no one at all!

I picked up my car yesterday and the dealer gave me all sorts of shwag. I got free rubber floor mats, a mini metal water bottle, a keychain, a mini umbrella, 2 boxes of mints, 2 bottles of cleaning supplies and I am not sure if it is standard, but I got a cargo net for the boot. I am thrilled!
