Hey Guys,

I'm happy to report that I received my MINI Adventure Field Kit today. Mine had the antenna ball, mouse pad, secret decoder ring, i mean decoder, pen, journal and a few more things.
Purchased the car on 4/13/08. Not too bad of a wait.

Also got a nice check from the dealer for over-charging on the title transfer.

Now, if my stimulus check would get here on time so I can get my bike/roof rack and I'd be set.

let's see.. i got the 'adventure pack' or whathaveyou... mousepad, antenna ball, card thingies, notebook..

no mats... didn't even realize the car didn't come with them til delivery which was too late to buy them... just ordered them FINALLY.. 6 months and who knows how much damage to the carpet later...

i'm somewhat bitter towards my dealership.. just a bit. the service department is RIDICULOUS.. but that's another story all together.. it's almost as if since they got their money, they couldn't care less what happens to me.

Oh.. sidenote? The surveys that MINIusa gives you.. they're not anonymous.. just a forewarning.

I just got my 3rd (yes, THIRD) Adventure Field Kit. The first two were the same except the 2nd one wasn't personalized (my name not mentioned except on the mailing address). The 3rd one I received today is again personalized like the first one, with the roadside assistance card with my vin number.

The first two both had the black/white dice antenna toppers. This one has the yellow smiling ball! Perfect for my Mini!

The Smiley Face a perfect complement to your ride, minidrivr.

Kelsey Ellen, by stencil thingie do you mean window poetry? words you can stick onto the inside of a window to message other motorers. If so, I can mail it to you. Let me know.

Motor On,

I got a cheap keychain. It was almost a slap in the face after dropping full MSRP and not even getting floor mats thrown in. Perhaps they were upset that I refused to pay for the overpriced lojack/clearbra that they "require"

i didn't even know it was an option til I saw cars with it at MOTD.. by then it was too late.. Ollie's already become a victim of the road.

I ordered my very first MINI 5.15.08.
Production started 5.31.08 and was told would be completed yesterday 6.6.08. [actually they told me it starts 6.6.08 but it started early, yey!]
Bound for transportation by next week or two.

Anyway, so far since I ordered mine, they sent me a "MINI note" with a "Field Guide to Good Motoring" MINI booklet. Anyone of you have gotten those? I'm just curious if there's more to come!?

I got the Field Guide to MINI Motoring in a package that also had a pen, mouse pad (MINI photo montage), ball to put on antenna (Union Jack), booklet on financing your next MINI, window poetry, "top secret" envelope with decorder, etc.

So with any luck there's more to arrive.

Was that before or after you brought your MINI home?

The goodies came about a month or so after I drove my MINI off the lot.

I waited 2 months, never received anything. Emailed Mini USA and they said they would resend one. About 8 weeks later I got the first, then 2-3 weeks after that I get a second one, and now another couple months go by and I get a third.

Whoa. Talk about overdoing it. Lemme know when you get your fourth one. Atleast you can change your ball antennas depending on your moods!

I got the same stuff on Friday...I purchased my car right around the same time.

Thanks--yup, the stripes do match. Wish I could say I'd done something special, but I just checked the "sport package" button, and there they were!

As for the mirror caps, I confess I fought my husband over them--he wanted them and I didn't want to pay $138 for them! He was right, of course...

Hah! Just got the Adventure Field Kit in the mail today, two days post-rant, how ironic. Pretty cool stuff, and now I know what APBO is. Got a smiley face antenna topper, not the Union Jack, little bummed about that.

So for new owners, approximately ~ 8 weeks?
