Did you receive anything from MINI after purchase?

Just curious if anyone received anything from Mini (welcome letter etc) after purchase, and how long after you bought did you receive it?

For weeks after taking delivery I was getting stuff in the mail. First a thank you note. Then a calendar with my photo taken by my MA on it. Then a motoring kit with some MINI baubles.

I got a rather large box w/ a pen, motoring journal, and alternate label decals to place over the toggle switches (stuff like Ejection Seat, Smoke Screen, Oil Slick, Tire Spikes, etc.) about a month after I bought my R53. I also got a couple of other semi - humorous marketing booklet over the course of '06.

Nothing major, but the toggle switch labels were pretty cool even though I never wound up installing them.

The videos and car is not from MINI but everything else is.
The airfreshener, cookie tin with excellent chocolate chip cookies, the two key fobs and playing cards.
(not pictured: CD holder and a box full of many surprises).
If I can find the box I'll take a look inside and see what else they sent me.

I picked up my MINI on the 29th of June and recieved a few gifts at the time I picked her up, then a week later on 7th of July I received two boxes.
One box (from: MINI dealer) contained a tin of chocolate chip cookies as pictured above and the other box (from: MINI) had numerous items
as pictured below.
Some or all of the items may have actually been sent from the MINI dealership and not MINI (I don't recall at this time where they were addressed from).

Contents of box are pictured below.
Stickers, Encyclopedia, mouse pad, top secret envelope, ledger with nice heavy pen, roadside assist card and a business card holder with many MINI cards.
Not pictured: Large roll of window decals.
The contents of the items in the "Top Secret" envelope can not be revealed if you did not get one (sorry).

I can't speak for Mini, but my experience is that after-sales premiums are usually from the dealer, not the manufacturer.

Interesting althougth that was almost a year ago you bought yours and all of that took place.

I bought mine 12 days ago from Vista MINI in Coconut Creek,Florida and got 2 very nice key chains,a golf umbrella and a medium sized zippered overnight bag.Maybe MINI USA will send a gift package in the in the mail to me soon.

I think Trojanman may be correct, it may be up to the individual dealerships and not the manufacturer.
It may have also been part of a program that was going on at the time that may no longer be in effect.
Although the box itself I do believe is from MINI USA and the cookie tin is definitely from Century MINI/BMW dealership.

I never got the motoring pack, sent MiniUSA an email, they said it would be 4-8 weeks and I'd see one.

8 weeks later, I got one of those Adventure Kit's similar to the one above.

I see you have an '07 in your sig so was that last year also?
Also did you just go to miniusa.com and sent an email to them to request the motoring pack?

Thanks.

About nine months after I took delivery I got a letter saying something to the effect that they heard that I will be getting a new MINI soon. A stencil for painting "MINI PARKING ONLY" or something like that, was included.

Otherwise, nada. Perhaps in ten years I'll get the MINI Adventure Kit.

Wow, I'm feeling really neglected. I didn't get anything. Although I did get an air freshener and some mints when I ran by recently and picked up a grill badge holder.

I've had my MINI for one whole month this Saturday. I've received three of these things in the mail so far, the "We heard a new MINI might be heading your way" postcard and the stencil. The first go round it was pretty cool, now it's just annoying. No welcome or motoring packs in the mail. Think i can request one on the MINIUSA website?

I only got free floormats from my MA. He promised that he'd send me a specific tshirt that i requested, and he hasn't yet. That was a month ago. I wouldn't order from Mini of Sterling (Virginia) again.
