MCS Standard Seats

Hey I was at the dealership today and test drove and sat in several Mini's. Now I found the sport seats rather uncomfortable. I think it was the high bolsters. Can I get regular seats in a MCS? They did not have any cloth sport seats, or leatherette for that matter so are they more comfortable then the punched leather?

thanks

leatherette is harder so it won't be any better.

IIRC the optional sport seats have a lumbar support control **** to adjust the firmness where the standard seat doesn't.I test drove both and felt the sport seat with the lumbar control actually felt better on my back.Maybe the lumbar was set too firm for you during your test drive.

Anyway I ended up getting the standard seats with leatherette in my '08 MCS and they are very comfortable even having only driven for 10 days of owning it.

IIRC, all seats in the MCS are sport seats. Only the MC has standard seats.

The cloth seats do not have the adjustable lumbar support. The Lounge Leather seats do. I think leatherette seats have it as well, but I'm not positive.

Only the leather or cloth/leather seats have lumbar, no matter if it's sport or not. This is unchanged from the R50/R53 days.

To the OP: You could try trading someone with base seats in their Cooper. That would be the only way to get the standard seats in your S.

If you want less bolstering and more roominess in a seat, the lounge leathers are probably your best bet. There is much less confinement in that seat.

Does anyone know if the standard seats in the MC are all black leatherette, or are they black/gray like the MCS standard Sport seats?

I'd like to get standard seats in all black checkered cloth (now thinking about buying an MC vs. an MCS), but if you change from standard leatherette seats to cloth, they force you to buy the freakin' sport seats!

Is it possible to get what I'm looking for????
