Old Software?

I was having my mini serviced and the loaner car had this on the screen

My car doesn't have the "mini" option in the computer. Both cars were 2007. I picked up mine in march of 07. The loaner car was a cooper and not a cooperS

I have an '08 MCS and it doesn't have that. I had a loaner car that was a late 2007 MC and it didn't have that. I have no idea what that is.

I have an October 2007 build MCS and mine shows that "MINI" option. When I click on it, it just shows two phone numbers. One of the phone numbers is the phone number of the service department of the dealership where I got the car from, the second phone number is the MINI USA customer relations number.

Yeah, that's because you have the bluetooth option. It's not available on cars that do not have that.

I think that the "MINI" option is only available with the BT kit (notice the phone in the icon), but mine also has a "phone" option that is absent in the photo.

I have that also on my '08 MCS.
No Bluetooth option but I do have the MFSW.

I thought it was the bluetooth option as well, but the phone button didn't do anything.

And yes, when selected it showed the MiniUSA number and the service center #.

Interesting...if you don't have any sort of bluetooth option, those MINI numbers are not very useful as you can't call them using the car. I wonder why some of us have it and some of us don't. Is it a convenience package thing?
